This handcrafted piece of art can be a top-of-the-line addition for a bear-lovers collection or stand out just by itself. Two excellent designs are combined in one reversible pendant: the Wampum design is set with hand cut Quahog shell pieces in heavy Sterling Silver. The raised inlay called 'corn-row'-design reminds us of the corn-on-the-cob fields. The corn as a cultural plant is traditionally connected to Native peoples' culture and one of the so called "three sisters" (corn, beans, squash). The jutting shell pieces and the inserted silver accents give depth and volume to the pendant. The revers side shows a Sterling Silver Native design.
Native American depictions of the bear as a powerful totem for physical healing and herbal / natural medicine often show its 'breath-of-life' as a 'life-line' or lightning starting at the mouth, flowing through the whole body. The Sterling Silver design here translates this meaning beautifully into the picture of a feather like bow.
Whatever you like to wear it with, this outstanding reversible large Wampum Silver Bear pendant will match your outfit. Also available on snake chain in different length. Pendant size is approximately 60 mm Length, 60 mm Width.
* The natural color of every Wampum shell varies which makes each piece of Wampum jewelry unique. The color shade of your order can slightly vary from the photo above.
