Based on a specific real life event this writing with very touching words brought several people to tears. Cherokee member General B. Grant has a unique way of expressing deep thoughts and insights with simple words that speak to the heart. His wife Ute Grant is writing down the spoken words into writings for him:
"I'm Not a Bad Person...
Just because someone messed with me as a child, doesn't make ma a bad person.
When we are born into this world, we are innocent.
As we grow and meet other people within our family or community, we are taught things that are not healthy for the mind, the body, the family etc.
We learn how to be self-destructive, insecure, not to respect ourselves, our body or our point of view.
Growing up we believe this is how it is supposed to be.
When we realize that it causes a lot of problems in our life, we can find out when and why we were taught this way.
We can choose to make our life better.
Now is the time to remember what the creator gave us, to love and respect ourself.
We can walk in beauty. --General B. Grant"
Every writing has also an unique design that is connected to it's content.
